Travelers on Colorado’s Interstate 70 mountain corridor should be prepared for challenging conditions due to significant snow from Sunday night, Nov. 24, through Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28.
A winter storm watch issued by the National Weather Service warns that snow accumulation could reach 4 to 8 inches in higher terrain above 9,000 feet, including areas like Summit, Grand, and Park counties, as well as popular destinations such as Breckenridge, Winter Park, and Rabbit Ears Pass.
The storm is expected to continue through Thanksgiving, creating hazardous winter driving conditions.
With record-breaking numbers of travelers anticipated for the holiday, drivers are urged to plan accordingly, as travel may become difficult to impossible at times.
