Two Men Arrested for Stealing Luxury Cars in Bristol, Connecticut

Two men were arrested earlier this month for stealing expensive cars in Bristol and nearby areas. On December 8, police were called to East Main Street about suspicious activity and found Nelshon Pires and Andy Semedo near a used car dealership called Blasius of Bristol.

They are accused of stealing high-priced cars from several dealerships over the past few years.

Pires and Semedo, from Brockton, Massachusetts, were caught with burglary tools, including devices that allowed them to start cars without the original keys. These devices, known as Autel programming tools, let thieves create working car keys from blank fobs.

The men were arrested as part of a larger operation in Massachusetts on December 12, which led to 12 arrests and the seizure of guns, ammunition, and other items. Police say the thieves often stole multiple cars at once. The total value of the stolen cars was over $2.6 million, with 63 vehicles taken between June 2023 and December 2024.

Authorities believe the thieves worked in groups to steal cars from dealerships in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Pires and Semedo are set to appear in court on December 23.
