Senator-elect Tim Sheehy announced his U.S. Senate committee assignments on Friday, giving him significant say in military, veterans, and business matters in the 119th Congress.
The soon-to-be junior senator from Montana will serve on three committees: Armed Services, Commerce, Science and Transportation, and Veterans’ Affairs.
The Veterans’ Affairs Committee is currently led by Senator Jon Tester, whom Sheehy defeated in November.
It’s a great honor to represent Montana in the U.S. Senate, Sheehy said. These committees will let me use my experience as a Navy SEAL and businessman to support our troops, improve services for veterans, and create more opportunities for hardworking Montanans.
