Three Wisconsin Volunteers Join Red Cross Efforts for Hurricane Helene Relief

Three Wisconsin-based American Red Cross volunteers have traveled south to assist communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Bonnie Tiedt from Verona is on her way to North Carolina, while Stevens Point residents Louise and Kevin Johnson are heading to Tennessee.

Tiedt, adjusting her plans to help, expressed her commitment to making a difference, recalling past volunteer experiences in shelters.

The Johnsons, who are new to hurricane relief, are eager to contribute, with Kevin excited to drive an Emergency Response Vehicle, drawing on his 31 years as a UPS driver.

Both emphasized the unique satisfaction of helping people directly in times of crisis.

These volunteers join others across the country, standing by for reassignment as needs evolve, embodying the spirit of giving without expecting anything in return.
