Three Arrested in Rhode Island for Domestic Violence, Felony Assault, and Fraud Charges

PROVIDENCE — The Rhode Island State Police arrested three individuals on Monday, facing a range of charges including domestic violence, felony assault, and fraud-related offenses.

At 12:32 p.m., Brien Gallagher, 44, of Providence, was arrested during a traffic stop on Princeton Avenue. Gallagher was wanted on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for failing to appear at a hearing related to a felony assault charge from the Pawtucket Police Department.

He was processed and taken to Providence Superior Court for arraignment.

Shortly after, at 2:18 p.m., Ralph White, 32, of Coventry, was apprehended following a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 South.

White faces charges of third-offense criminal violation of a no-contact order under Rhode Island’s domestic violence statutes. After processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, he was transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center as a bail violator.

At 2:07 p.m., Theophilus Asare, 39, of Worcester, Massachusetts, was arrested on two active Affidavit and Arrest Warrants. His charges include obstructing an officer, passing counterfeit bills, DUI, and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock system.

Asare was arrested at the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal, processed at State Police Headquarters, and transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Each individual remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
