A house fire in Connecticut on Thanksgiving Day was likely caused by someone frying a turkey in the garage, according to the fire department.
Photos and videos from the scene show the home fully engulfed in flames as firefighters rushed to put out the fire.
Fire crews tried to tackle the fire head-on as it quickly spread from the garage to the house, but they were faced with dangerous conditions and the risk of the building collapsing.
A car also drove over a hose firefighters were using, which stopped the water flow for several minutes.
The fire took 16 hours to fully put out, and the home is now considered uninhabitable. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The home, valued at nearly $3 million, is 10,000 square feet. About 25 people were inside for Thanksgiving when the fire started around 3:40 p.m.
