Spokane Valley, WA – A drone helped the SWAT team find and arrest a man in Spokane Valley on Monday, August 26, who was wanted in Idaho, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 3:40 a.m., deputies responded to a report of domestic violence near Wilbur Road and Augusta Avenue. When they arrived, they saw blood and knife marks on the front door.
The homeowner said her ex had damaged the door. Inside, deputies found more blood and knife marks on the doors and walls.
A man claiming to be the homeowner’s boyfriend gave a fake name and had minor cuts on his forearm. The homeowner had left during the argument and noticed the damage upon her return.
Deputies spotted a car in the driveway with a license plate visible through the window. They identified the man as 35-year-old Danile J. Gadley Jr., who was wanted in Idaho on a felony warrant.
After asking Gadley to surrender, deputies brought in SWAT, Behavioral Health Units, and a drone. The drone found Gadley asleep with a shotgun by his bed. SWAT breached a window, woke him up, and he was arrested.
Gadley was booked into Spokane County Jail and will be extradited to Idaho.
