Toronto – Porter Airlines outlined its 2026 summer schedule, marking a significant push into the US market with a new daily link to Nashville and increased service to Boston, Miami, and Phoenix.[1][2]
Music City Gains Direct Toronto Access
Porter Airlines will introduce its first flights to Nashville International Airport on May 11. The carrier plans daily nonstops from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport using De Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft.[1] This downtown-to-downtown route targets business travelers and leisure seekers drawn to the city’s vibrant music scene.
RJ Steenstra, president and CEO of the Toronto Port Authority, highlighted the addition. He noted that the service aligns with upcoming US CBP Preclearance at Billy Bishop, enhancing passenger convenience.[1] Porter positions Nashville as a key step in broadening its southern US presence.
Boston Routes See Double-Daily Surge
Starting May 14, Porter will launch double-daily flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Boston Logan International Airport. A new daily service from Montreal-Trudeau International Airport joins the mix on the same date.[3][2] These additions complement existing high-frequency operations from Toronto City Airport.
The expansions cater to strong demand in the Northeast corridor. Embraer E195-E2 jets will handle the routes, offering passengers free high-speed Wi-Fi and a two-by-two seating layout with no middle seats.[2]
Sun Destinations Draw Ottawa Travelers
Ottawa International Airport passengers already enjoy new thrice-weekly flights to Miami International Airport since January 24. Service to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport follows on February 7 with the same frequency.[4] Both routes operate on Embraer jets configured for comfort, including complimentary beer and wine in glassware.
These links provide seamless connections via codeshare partner American Airlines. Travelers can reach dozens of onward spots, from Honolulu to San Diego.[4] Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava welcomed the return of direct Ottawa service, absent since early 2020.[4]
