Timothy Eugene Root, 58, from Philadelphia, has been arrested for a multi-state smash-and-grab crime spree across Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
Root allegedly burglarized multiple outlet stores, stealing tens of thousands of dollars in merchandise and driving a stolen vehicle.
His criminal actions, which include burglarizing stores like the Polo Ralph Lauren Outlet and Nike Outlet, have resulted in multiple felony charges, including burglary, theft, and possession of stolen property.
Root also faces charges for a burglary at an Aeropostale store in Leesburg, Virginia, and is connected to similar crimes across various states.
He has an extensive criminal history dating back nearly 40 years, including previous convictions for robbery, burglary, and firearms offenses. Root remains in custody pending extradition to Virginia and further court proceedings.
