Gov. Jim Justice announced that Novak’s Inc., a world-renowned firearms company, will begin manufacturing the iconic 1911 pistol and creating new firearm designs in Parkersburg, West Virginia, through the newly formed Novak’s Manufacturing Company, LLC.
The facility will produce the Novak Signature Series 1911, incorporating two U.S. patents and eight enhancements to the classic design. Special editions with handmade West Virginia Black Walnut grips and models featuring the outline of the state will also be available.
Wayne Novak, an industry innovator since 1976, is best known for his U.S. Patented Novak “LoMount” Sights, which revolutionized the firearms industry.
These innovations have contributed significantly to U.S. law enforcement and military, particularly elite special forces. Production at the new facility will start in January 2025, with plans to expand annually.
The company aims to produce multiple advanced firearm designs by the end of its second year, with a focus on hiring veterans and disabled veterans for assembly.
The launch of Novak’s Manufacturing Company marks the beginning of a broader initiative to manufacture firearms in West Virginia, with future plans to develop a full line of firearms with technological improvements for civilian, law enforcement, and military markets.
This venture will benefit from a strategic alliance with JC Precision Milling, LLC and Novak’s engineering team.
