Nonprofit Uncovers Debris: Hope Renewed in Search for Missing Georgia Fishermen

A nonprofit organization aiding families in the quest for three Georgia fishermen who went missing a month ago has announced the discovery of debris from the boat.

On October 14, Tyler Barlow, Caleb Wilkinson, and Dalton Conway set out on a trip aboard the “Carol Ann” but failed to return to shore. Since then, neither their families nor the boat’s owner have been able to establish contact with them.

Despite an extensive search by the Coast Guard covering over 94,000 square miles for a week, no signs of the boat or the missing individuals were found, leading to the suspension of the search on October 27.

The United Cajun Navy released a statement confirming the discovery of fish box and buoy balls approximately 16 miles off the coast of St. Augustine. The nonprofit verified with the boat’s owner that the debris indeed belonged to the Carol Ann.

Families of Barlow, Wilkinson, and Conway expressed determination not to lose hope. Kim Jones, Barlow’s mother, emphasized the need for information, stating, “We can’t go with nothing and not knowing ever. The heart can’t take that.”

Chris Barlow, another family member, shared his hope and prayer for the survival of his son and the strength of all three missing individuals.

In their continued efforts, the families sought assistance from the United Cajun Navy and a private pilot for ongoing search operations. The group also reached out to the local community, urging anyone in the area to join the search or mobilize support.

The group posted on Facebook, “If anyone is in this area and can join the search or reach out to others in the area to help us! Thank you to everyone involved in the search, for SHARING this post, and praying with us that these boys are found.”
