Authorities in Fort Worth, Texas, reported a shooting incident at an apartment complex that left at least six people injured, ranging from 3 to 19 years old.
The incident unfolded around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, with the Fort Worth Police Department responding to a call regarding a shooting at the complex located in the 3000 block of Las Vegas Trail in the city’s western area.
Upon arrival at approximately 7:38 p.m., officers found several victims with gunshot wounds in the parking lot. The injured individuals, six in total, suffered injuries ranging from minor to severe.
Immediate medical assistance was provided by officers, along with support from the Fort Worth Fire Department and MedStar. Five victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment, while one declined medical attention.
Authorities confirmed that a suspect vehicle was seen passing by the location, from which one or more individuals fired shots at all the victims present.
The Gun Violence Unit is leading the investigation, treating it as an isolated incident with no perceived threat to the public. Efforts are underway to locate the suspect vehicle and the individual or individuals involved.
