Motorcyclist Dies in 3-Vehicle Crash

A motorcyclist lost his life in a three-vehicle collision on Saturday morning at the intersection of Highway 95 and Corwin Road in Bullhead City.

Officials have not disclosed the deceased man’s name, pending notification of next of kin. The crash occurred around 11:30, and emergency crews responded promptly.

According to Emily Fromelt, a spokeswoman for the Bullhead City Police Department, the incident involved a white Ford F-150 pickup stopped at a traffic light on Corwin Road in the northbound lane.

The motorcycle was behind the F-150, and a woman driving a Chevy Traverse collided with the motorcycle from behind.

Debris from the collision scattered both north and south of the intersection. The Ford F-150 sustained heavy damage to the rear driver’s side, while the Traverse had significant damage to the front passenger side.

The motorcycle came to a stop about 10 feet in front of the Traverse, which rested north of the intersection in the eastbound turn lane onto Corwin Road on the southbound side of Highway 95.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor, according to Fromelt.

As a result of the accident, southbound Highway 95 traffic was limited to the outside lane, and northbound Highway 95 was closed from Sterling Road to Corwin Road. Traffic was diverted through Arroyo Vista for approximately 4.5 hours while police conducted their investigation.

Northbound Highway 95 lanes were reopened around 4 p.m. No other injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
