Josh Stein Highlights Accomplishments and Calls for Unity During “NC Strong” Tour Stop

Josh Stein, North Carolina’s Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate, kicked off his NC Strong Get Out The Vote GOTV tour this week, making a stop in Wilson to meet with voters.

During his visit, Stein criticized his opponent, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, stating, He goes out there speaking hate and dividing people at every turn, in reference to Robinson’s controversial comments. Stein emphasized the importance of unity in addressing real issues facing North Carolinians.

Stein also announced legal action against robocall scams, a move he says is crucial to protecting vulnerable citizens from fraud.

Reflecting on his tenure as Attorney General, Stein highlighted his efforts to tackle the opioid crisis, reduce the backlog of untested rape kits, and safeguard personal freedoms.

He contrasted his approach with Robinson’s, accusing the lieutenant governor of engaging in divisive job-killing culture wars.

At the event, voters like Ron McNeil expressed hopes that Stein would prioritize public education funding. Stein’s campaign plans to continue touring the state as election day approaches.
