Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds Orders Flags at Half-Staff for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced that all flags in the state will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday to honor Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

The attack on Pearl Harbor, which occurred 83 years ago, killed 2,403 service members and civilians.

Governor Reynolds said, “Even after more than 80 years, the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor reminds us of the sacrifices our service members make to keep us safe and free. Today, we remember those who lost their lives or had their lives changed, and we are grateful for all the heroes who have served our country.”
