Groomsman Killed After Wedding Argument: Michigan Couple Facing Charges

FLINT, Mich. – A couple from Michigan is facing charges after the death of a man who was a groomsman at their wedding.

On August 30, Flint Police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian. The victim, 29-year-old Terry Lewis Taylor Jr., suffered serious injuries and later died at the hospital.

Police say Taylor had been part of a wedding earlier that day and got into an argument. He was hit by a large SUV, which was driven by the groom, 22-year-old James Shirah.

Shirah is now charged with second-degree murder. His wife, 21-year-old Savahna Collier, is charged with being an accessory after the fact.
