Flames Erupt During Frontier Flight Landing at Las Vegas Airport: Passengers Safe

A Frontier flight appeared to catch fire while landing at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday. Cell phone footage captured flames and thick smoke coming from the plane’s undercarriage as it landed on the runway. Emergency vehicles, including fire trucks, quickly responded to the scene as smoke continued to envelop the aircraft.

A spokesperson for the airport confirmed to CBS News that “Frontier Flight 1326 experienced a hard landing.” The Clark County Fire Department arrived promptly, ensuring that all passengers and crew were safely taken to a secure area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Frontier Flight 1326 departed from San Diego at 1:51 p.m. Pacific Time and landed in Las Vegas at 3:37 p.m., according to FlightAware.

A spokesperson for Frontier Airlines stated, The pilots detected smoke and declared an emergency. The aircraft landed safely, and passengers and crew were evacuated using airstairs. While there were no reported injuries, passengers were transported by bus to the terminal, and the cause of the incident is under investigation.
