Two deadly crashes were reported in Kentucky on Monday night as snow made roads slippery and dangerous.
The Trigg County Emergency Management said one of the crashes, which involved two fatalities, happened in Lyon County. There were also several car accidents reported on Interstate 24 that night.
Officials are advising people to stay home and stay warm if possible. However, if you need to go out, they recommend being extra cautious and giving yourself more time to reach your destination safely.
They also suggested bringing extra blankets or warm clothes in your car in case of an emergency or breakdown. Additionally, deer are still active in the area and have been causing accidents.
The Trigg County Emergency Management also expressed appreciation for first responders working in these tough conditions.
