Heroes are often recognized when things go wrong, but Monday marks the start of Crash Responder Safety Week, a great opportunity to show appreciation.
On Saturday, a group of Maryland’s first responders received the thank you they truly deserve.
MDOT and the Maryland Transportation Authority organized a Thank a Safety Responder Day at the State Highway’s Hanover Complex, located at 7491 Connelley Drive.
The event allowed kids to see emergency vehicles up close and meet the state’s dedicated responders. These workers were involved in 110 safety crashes in 2023, a clear testament to their commitment.
