An Ohio man, identified as Carlos Sept, is in custody after attempting to evade arrest in Indiana.
The incident began when an Indiana State Police trooper responded to a minor crash on Interstate-654 near the Rensselaer exit on Friday.
Sept, who was wanted on a probation violation in Ohio, initially resisted detention and fled across multiple lanes of traffic, almost causing accidents due to inclement weather.
He then ran into a field, but after the trooper caught up, Sept attempted to drive his car off the tow truck before eventually surrendering.
Authorities found marijuana and suspected heroin during a K9 search. Sept is facing charges including possession of a controlled substance, intimidation, false identity, resisting law enforcement, and possession of marijuana. He is being held at the Jasper County Jail.
