Bojangles Foundation Awards $47,000 in Grants to 47 Nonprofits Supporting Literacy Across 11 States

The Bojangles Foundation has awarded grants totaling $47,000 to 47 nonprofit organizations across 11 states, including South Carolina. Each winner, including four South Carolina-based nonprofits, will receive $1,000 to support literacy initiatives. The grants aim to empower organizations dedicated to improving education and literacy, with a focus on fostering learning, unlocking potential, and creating opportunities for individuals and communities. Notable South Carolina recipients include:

  • The Original Six Foundation Columbia: Funding a My First Library Program.
  • Associated Charities Myrtle Beach: Supporting literacy bags for children.
  • Winthrop University Rock Hill: Implementing a pediatric care literacy program.
  • POY Entertainment York: Focused on community development.

The Bojangles Foundation, established in 2022 and managed by Foundation For The Carolina, primarily directed its investment to nonprofits in North Carolina, with additional recipients in Ohio, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Tennessee, and Virginia.
