A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection to a homicide that occurred in late June.
The Petersburg Police have been investigating the incident, which took place on Sunday, June 23, on the 400 block of Roundtop Avenue. No details about the victim have been released yet.
On Tuesday, September 10, Stacey Ward, 31, was arrested in Chesterfield County with help from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
Ward faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, abduction, burglary, and firearm possession as a convicted felon. He also has a warrant for failing to appear in court.
He is currently in custody, awaiting his court appearance.
